Mind Matter Analytics builds and operates the Nooscope — an open, reproducible standard for placing any system, from a human cortex to a brain organoid to an artificial network, on a measured scale of complexity, computed from open data.
What the company does
Mind Matter Analytics develops the measurement, publishes it in full, and applies it to new systems. The method and the reference code are open, so any reading can be checked against the same data that produced it.
The Nooscope method, its reference code, and every issued reading are published together in a public register, each with its value, interval, parameters, and data source.
A reading places a system on the appropriate scale, computed from open or provided recordings using the published method — for human and animal cortical recordings and brain organoids.
The standard defines the conditions under which a measurement — including from an artificial network — may be reported on it, so results from different groups can be compared on the same terms.
